A Report In The Altoona Mirror Indicates That The Central Blair Rec Commission Is Proposing Building The Multi-Million Dollar Sports Facility Somewhere In Logan Twp, Or Perhaps At Lakemont Park. The Complex Would Contain An Artificial Turf, Basketball Courts, Walking Track, Training And Sports Performance Area. The Facility Would House Sports From Basketball, Baseball, Football, Softball, Golf, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Pickleball And Soccer. The City Of Altoona, Logan Twp And The Altoona Area School District, Who Make Up The Commission Would Have To Agree On This Idea. Some Very Preliminary Sketches And Figures Have Already Been Given To The CBRC.
