City Council Met Last Night To Discuss Applying For A Federal Grant To Allow For The Improvement Of The Center Located On 11th Avenue. The Money Would Come From $1.5 Billion Set Aside By The Fed For Infrastructure Projects That Have Local And Regional Impact On Communities. The Money The City Is Applying For Would Improve Bus Service And Upgrade The Transportation Center. Altoona Has Also Applied To PennDot For Similar Funds, But According To Mayor Matt Pacifico, That Process Lingers On. The Money Would Also Help Improve Train Service Into The Center. Council Must Approve A Resolution To Apply For The Grant.
