In a report by the associated press, Dr. Mehmet Oz was attacked by several other candidates during the debate in Erie. Dr. Oz asked his fellow candidates why they were all attacking him, to which one other candidate replied “because you are a liberal”. To that, Dr. Oz denied that assertion, claiming that he can take the criticism because he has thick skin. Oz was also called a carpetbagger, claiming that he is not a true resident of Pa, and therefore should not be considered for office. Candidate Dave McCormick also blasted Oz for wanting to take fracking out of Pa, which would cripple the state’s job market. Oz called McCormick a liar after that accusation. The primary is May 17th.
