The Altoona Mirror reported that Director of Coaching and Player Development John Baker told the breakfast gathering of the Blair County Chamber of Commerce that the Altoona Curve has the most talented roster in all of the minor leagues. Baker did say that there has been a lot of turnover in the organization for the past several years, but now the Pirates say they may have the necessary players to develop a championship team. Baker says that the Pirates are teaching what is called player centered development, where players will focus on their confidence, autonomy and relatedness. Baker told the gathering that the Pirates will be a winning team soon.
