A report by WJAC indicates that the Somerset County Court of Common Pleas issued a ruling last week that postponed the trial from June back to September. Thomas is charged with raping a Windber woman in her home last year. He has been suspended from his job as D.A. For the time being. Thomas’ lawyers requested the postponement so they could have more time to prepare their case while the prosecution gathers evidence. Jury selection is scheduled to begin in September. The Attorney Generals office is prosecuting the case.
