WJAC reported that Chase Turner had filed an appeal in Cambria County court to try and have his post sentence appeal rights reinstated. Turner was convicted last year for the 2019 death of Olivia Red of Johnstown. She was killed in a vehicle accident along Rt. 219 back in May 2019. Turner was driving the car that crashed into Red’s vehicle while he was driving under the influence of alcohol and was going in the wrong direction on 219. He was sentenced to serve 8-16 years in prison for the homicide. His appeal was denied yesterday in court.
