According to a report in the Altoona Mirror, local developer Christopher Cooke has submitted the one and only bid to renovate the now Dilapidated building located on 11th avenue. Cooke has told the city Redevelopment Authority that he is planning to turn the building into a high end food court, complete with grocery store and several apartments along with some retail space. The cost of his bid is $2 million. Mayor Matt Pacifico expressed his approval of the plan, saying it is what the city has envisioned for the building. The authority will discuss the matter both in private and in public at its next two scheduled meetings.
