Reports indicate that police in Altoona arrested 38 year old Ryan Karns after he was found passed out in his vehicle in the parking lot of Martins on Chestnut Avenue last Thursday. Police say that AMED technicians spotted a syringe in the drivers side door of the vehicle, and Karns allegedly disposed of that needle before police arrived. Police then said that Karns was stumbling to get out of the vehicle and was unsteady on his feet. Officers found some 500 empty yellow wax packets, and found a bag that contained possible Fentanyl. Karns was taken to the Blair County Jail on charges including possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphenalia, DUI and driving without a license.
