WTAJ reports that police arrested 21 year old Christopher McGarvey Jr after they tried to get him to the hospital for being on drugs. Police report that they responded to a call for help last Friday in Juniata. McGarvey was revived by a woman who gave him Narcan after he apparently took some opioids. When police and AMED came to offer assistance, McGarvey became combative when being helped into an ambulance. Inside that ambulance police report that McGarvey allegedly bit one officer on the hand, then had to be restrained. He is now charged with aggravated assault and resisting law enforcement. McGarvey is in the Blair County jail on $40,000 cash bail.
