A report by WJAC indicates that parents verbally attacked school board members over the districts handling of former music teacher Shawn Miller, who was arrested a week ago on charges that he raped a 9 year old girl back in 2015. One parent was quoted as saying “either the board doesn’t care about kids, they are incompetent or they are crooked”. Parents are upset at the fact that before this incident, there were several complaints lodged against miller going back as far as 2011 for alleged sexual abuse of students. Channel 6 was asked to leave the meeting because of the sensitive nature of the information being discussed. Concerned Citizens of Westmont Hilltop said last night that they will run a full slate of candidates until every current school board member is replaced.
