Kay’s Cottage/HAVIN is hosting 2024 SHINE Walk, taking place on Monday, September 23rd at 11:30 AM.  The event begins at the corner of North Grant Avenue and Market Street.  Please join us on our walk this year to SHINE light in the darkness of child sexual abuse! 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience sexual abuse. Please come and show your support of child victims and survivors and support Kay’s Cottage, the Armstrong County Child Advocacy Center. At Kay’s Cottage we help to provide a collaborative approach to child abuse investigations, we conduct interviews of child victims and offer resources to assist the child and family throughout the life of the case and beyond. DEADLINE to order SHINE t-shirts is September 3rd. Very limited t-shirts will be for sale the day of the event. Also, bring your spare change for a donation to help CHANGE the lives of children! There is no financial obligation to attend, but we still need attendees to register.
