Run For Freedom 5K Run And Walk is Saturday, September 28th at the Roaring Run Trail in Apollo.  The race is being hosted by Apollo Free Methodist Church.  Pennsylvania is 9th in the nation for Human Trafficking and this run is meant to bring awareness to this issue so that we can help the most vulnerable. Local agencies will be there to provide information on their resources and how they can help those who find themselves in situations that can lead to human trafficking.  To register for the race, go to runsignup.com/race/pa/apollo/runforfreedom.  Agencies that will be there:  The Asservo Project, Havin, Blackburn Center, Human Trafficking Task Force of Westmoreland, Damsel in Defense, Alice Paul House, Armstrong/Indiana/Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission, and R.I.S.E.  Parking located at 315 Railroad Ave., Apollo, Pa.  A shuttle will be provided to the trail for the run.  There will also be a basket raffle and Tony’s Pulled Pork.  For more information, email runforfreedom2024@gmail.com.
