Here are pictures from Saturday (June 25), the second night of the June edition of the PA Roundhouse Rally Summer Series 2022 at Roundhouse Harley-Davidson near Duncansville.
In the heat of summer’s busiest weekend for area motorcycle enthusiasts, Saturday’s half of PA Roundhouse Rally weekend brought lots of people to hang out, have fun, and enjoy the day’s musical slate, headlined by popular Los Angeles-based family rock and metal band Liliac. Those arriving early got to witness Liliac’s soundcheck on the Roundhouse stage, and just based on the two songs they soundchecked with – Dio’s “Holy Diver” and “The Last in Line” – it was clear that everyone was in for a rocking treat later in the evening!
The afternoon officially launched musically with popular area acoustic duo Lauren & Joe. The wife-and-husband tandem of Lauren and Joe George did a good-sounding variety of rock, pop and country hits from such names as Pat Benatar, Badfinger, Little Big Town, Fleetwood Mac, Amy Winehouse, Hall & Oates, John Prine, Adele, Janis Joplin and many more.
Next was Avenue Of Kings, bringing hard rock and metal to the stage. Singer Matt Stoyanoff demonstrated his vocal power and range early and often via Iron Maiden’s “Wicker Man” and “Two Minutes to Midnight,” Judas Priest’s “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’” and “Hellion/Electric Eye,” Dio’s “Rainbow in the Dark” and more. Guitarists Chris Silva and Rob Sottile, bassist Beau Cabassa and drummer Randy Wilson brought the instrumental crunch and might behind him. Avenue Of Kings kept fans rocking in front of the stage with additional tunes from Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen, Shinedown, Scorpions, AC/DC, Dokken, Metallica and more.
Then the headliners, Liliac. This group of siblings – singer Melody, guitarist Samuel, drummer Abigail, bassist Ethan and keyboardist Justin – started performing together each weekend at the Santa Monica Pier, and started to generate a following. As they started covering famous popular rock and metal songs, their covers started going viral on social media platforms – leading to national television exposure on CBS Television’s “World’s Best” and NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” The group has toured around the country and continued to grow their following, and even has caught the attention of Lzzy Hale of Halestorm! Joined by an additional violin player this night, Liliac rocked the house as they performed original songs off their album and EP’s, along with numbers from Dio, Nirvana, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Metallica and more. Melody brought a powerhouse voice, and the group brought precision musicianship, enthusiasm, stage theatrics and more to give the PA Roundhouse Rally crowd a show they wouldn’t forget!
Pictured are the bands (including Liliac during their soundcheck), the Q-crew (including “The Professor,” Jim Price cooling off with “Death by Chocolate” from the ice cream vendor), the Harley-Davidson demo fleet and riders giving the machines a workout, the sea of bikes in the Roundhouse Harley-Davidson front parking lot, The International Bikini Team washing a few of those motorcycles, the crowds of people and more.
The PA Roundhouse Rally is a 501c3 organization that helps out local charities with the summer weekend concert series. Thanks to everyone who attended and was part of the fun!
