The Friday leg of May’s PA Roundhouse Rally brought more fun and excitement to the grounds of Roundhouse Harley-Davidson near Duncansville. Vendor row was open, the International Bikini Team was slinging the cold adult beverages, and the food vendors – Shumans Concessions, La Paco Diablo Tacos Inc., All Star Cotton Candy and Jenny’s Sweet Treats – fulfilled appetites and kept taste buds happy! And folks could stop by the Q94 tent to fill out slips to possibly win one of several entry tickets into the drawing to win the Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST being given away by the PA Roundhouse Rally, Burgi’s Low Life Riders and Q94!
And live music continued to keep ear drums and dancing bodies happy…Altoona’s Ages brought the classic rock to the railcar stage to kick off the afternoon, as singer Mike Castine, guitarist Tyler Bryan, and the father-and-son rhythm tandem of drummer Jerry Naugle and bassist Jacob Naugle sounded strong on numbers from Jimi Hendrix, Cream, the Doors, ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker Band, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and more. They started to get the arriving crowd moving on the dance floor, and put the audience into a good, rocking mood.
The crowd continued to file in as Hair Force One started their celebration of 80s hair band rock. This group recently added a new bass player, with Finn Gürer taking over the four strings, joining singer Victor Synn, guitarists Michael J. Cox and Milo Nuttz, and drummer Shawn Toppuver. Hair Force One instantly packed the floor in front of the stage with fans as they did favorites from throughout the hair band spectrum – including tunes from Poison, Motley Crue, Cinderella, Guns N’Roses, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Scorpions, Ratt, Quiet Riot and more. They kept the crowd riding at a feverish high through their two sets, and answered demands for an encore with Motley Crue’s “Girls Girls Girls” to close the night. Hair Force One again served notice that the Decade Of Decadence is not slowing down any time soon!
