Here are some photographs taken during this year’s Altoona Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony in downtown Altoona. The parade photos were taken along 11th Avenue in front of Heritage Plaza, with the ceremony happening afterward at the Robert E. Laws Veterans Mall. The last few pictures show parts of the ceremony, as well as Altoona Mayor Matt Pacifico, Representative Lou Schmidt and the Veterans Mall itself. (And the first photo shows the WRTA parade broadcast team for this day: “The Professor” Jim Price, Steve Willett, Debbie Hoy and Adam Erikson.) Thanks to everybody who came and took the time to remember those who gave their lives serving our country.
